Production Operative – Learn the skills of our Master Printers

You will learn how to prepare screens, mix inks and use our state-of-the-art printing equipment to print onto a variety of cotton bags.

 

You will report into the Production Supervisor and work closely with our Production Manager and our other departments.

 

Your hours of work will be (40pw) 0730 – 1600 Monday to Friday. Overtime may be available at peak times and is voluntary.

 

Our Print factory is based at our HQ on Rutland Road in Sheffield, just outside of the city centre/ Kelham Island and is accessible from both the bus and tram.

 

Essential Skills required

 

• Ability to work both independently and as a team to operate machinery.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail.
• Quick to learn and adapt to the variety of different print machines we have on-site.
• Proactive to undertake duties/tasks that require completion.
• Organised
• Excellent quality control and thus recognition of customer care.

Advantageous Skills

 

• Previous experience working in a similar role within a printing environment
• Experience operating a machine (even if not a printing machine)
• Experience with screen and digital printing, ink mixing.
• Committed to contributing to positive social and environmental change.
