Alex Maybury is BIDBI's Senior Account Manager. He has been working for BIDBI for almost one year now! This week we sat down with Alex to learn a bit more about his and his position at BIDBI. Continue reading to find out more!
What is your job role?
Senior Account Manager, meaning that I would be the first point of contact for customers to speak to about anything cotton or jute related! It is my responsibility to find the best bag for our client's needs.
Can you tell me a bit more about which clients you look after (sectors)?
I look after Food & Drink Corporate and Universities. I enjoy working with each sector as every enquiry is different and I get to work with some great companies too!
What does a normal workday look like for you?
Well, I would generally look at my emails as soon as I get in to check if anything important has been sent since the day before. The rest of my day would involve many different things from speaking with clients over email or telephone for any future projects to putting quotes together for my client's needs.
What has been your highlight working for BIDBI?
Other than the team I work with, I would say the Food & Drink trade show I went to back in April. It was nice to speak with old and new customers face to face and build relationships. The free food was not bad either.
What’s your favourite BIDBI product? I would say the Lunch Bag.
Especially with the Food & Drink accounts which I have, it is the perfect fit for a premium product.
Where is a place you would love to travel to?
I have been quite lucky growing up as I have visited some amazing places already, but I would love to do Route 66 over in America. I am planning on going next year as I am into my sport. So I would love to see a few different games there like American Football and Basketball.
If you could visit any place in the world, where would it be?
I would say the Maldives. I always see videos of holidays there and they look like paradise.
If you had a day off, what would you spend it doing?
At the minute it's Golf, but if I carry on how I played last that can easily change to something else!
What is your guilty pleasure?
Changing the radio station to something cheesy! Absolute Noughties never disappoints.
How do you make your own life more environmentally friendly?
I try and be plastic-free at home and I would say since joining BIDBI has opened my eyes a lot more. I have always recycled ever since being young too.
