This week's blog comes courtesy of Alan Bainbridge, our Production Supervisor. Here's what he had to say about his time at BIDBI so far...

I joined BIDBI a few months ago, after seeing how passionate CEO Julia was about print, bags and our customers. I have over 20 years experience in the print industry, so I aim to continuously train our printers, to ensure that every customer receives a high-quality printed product, and on time.

I also work closely with our General Manager, Dominic, to improve standard operating procedures and make the factory more efficient. Our current goal is to build on our already excellent service by reducing customer lead times and investing in our warehouse.

I'm excited for these developments to get underway. We're installing a new racking system for our stock, which will allow us to pick stock using our brand new fork lift truck. Our newly-appointed warehouse operator will be in control of the stock, and generally improve pre and post-press efficiencies. We're confident that this will help us deliver a more efficient service to our customers! Here's a photo of me explaining the digital press to Birley Spa School, when they came to visit last month:

When I'm not over-seeing our production room, I like to spend time with my wife and best friend, who I met at the age of 14. I spend most weekends golfing at Grange Park Golf Club - probably my favourite place in the world! If you want to know more about the developments we're working on the print room, sign up for our email newsletter or just send us an email and we'll be in touch.
