It has been a busy few days going to Top Drawer at Olympia in London. For four short days, we, and by we I mean I, can really pack a lot of stuff! I pack for every eventuality and with it being my first Trade Show with BIDBI, I wanted to make sure I had everything for every possible scenario. Luckily, everything went to plan for the travel down and set up of the stand – even if the decal was a little tricky to get up!
I was representing BIDBI with Lucy, our Assistant Team Leader, who is the fountain of all knowledge and exactly the person I needed with me to learn the BIDBI way on my first time at Top Drawer.
We displayed examples of both our UK and India production bags, which visitors loved! Always gets the creative juices flowing when you see what is possible and what’s been done by previous customers!
As this was my first show, I had no idea of what to expect but I spoke to some really lovely people with some great ideas for bespoke bags that they want for their businesses both small and large.
It was really encouraging to see some of our customers exhibiting at the show with our bags we made for them – especially What on Earth, who were giving out the bags as promotional giveaways! I even managed to snap a passing lady carrying one I was so delighted to see it J
I learnt a lot from Top Drawer 2017 and exhibitions has always been a favourite part of being in sales, there’s nothing better than speaking face to face with your potential customers and getting as excited as they are about their next eco bag project!
Looking forward to seeing you all at Spring Fair in February!
