Harrogate Bound For Home & Gift

It has been a busy few days going to the Home & Gift festival in Harrogate. It was extremely hot and in the train station was interviewed by BBC Sheffield asking "Does the weather determine what you wear?" Of course it does! When the sun is shining and it’s warm I don’t wear a coat and take and umbrella. When it is raining I don’t wear flip flops and vest top.

Luckily the Home & Gift festival was fully air-conditioned, I was there representing BIDBI on our shared stand with Made by Talented (our sister company). it was a great way to show our printed samples to potential buyers. Some fantastic contacts were made and many exciting bag projects have been discussed. Due to the recent bag tax we have seen a rise in eco-friendly cotton shoppers, gaining huge success for the company.

I was delighted to see our stand was opposite Cherith Harrison’s, who was showcasing her work and products. It was lovely to see the Cow, Stag and Fox bespoke bags we had made for her up on her stand. I also went to a different unit to visit Simon Drew’s stand. After speaking to Caroline on the telephone many times it was great to finally put a face to the name! Seeing the funny quips and sketches on the 8oz natural landscape bags and on the aprons was great. It was also nice to see the reaction from different customers when interacting with the products.

After my first experience with a trade show representing BIDBI am I looking forward to the next one! :)
