October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month in Britain, which means people up and down the country will be donning their finest pink attire to show their support for this important cause.
We love to get involved, so here's some of our team getting on board in fuchsia, salmon and baby pinks!
Breast Cancer Care supports every person affected by breast cancer, by providing treatment, information and support. And we want to help.
So why is breast cancer awareness so important? Well...
- Every year nearly 55,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK, that’s the equivalent of one person every 10 minutes.
- Breast cancer is the second most common cause of death from cancer in women in the UK.
- Nearly 12,000 people die from breast cancer in the UK every year.
- Breast cancer can be more effectively treated if it is caught early - we just need to make everyone aware of the signs. This is where breast cancer awareness comes in!
