We're delighted to announce that our BIDBI CEO, Julia Gash, was awarded the 'Entrepreneur of the Year for Yorkshire' award at last week's Institute of Directors Awards. The ceremony took place at the Queen's Hotel in Leeds, and BIDBI MD Steve Morrisroe accompanied CEO Julia Gash to the (rather early!) ceremony.
The annual event, organised by The Institute of Directors for Yorkshire, celebrates the talent and entrepreneurship of business directors in the Yorkshire region. With awards in multiple categories, such as Young Director and International Director, it was our pleasure to share the room with so many inspiring business owners from across the region.
The fantastic ceremony, which saw fellow Sheffielder Andrew Seaton scoop an award, was topped off brilliantly when Julia won the 'Entrepreneur of the Year' award.
Julia says: “I am absolutely delighted to receive the IOD Entrepreneur of the Year Award. I took a risk by investing lots of time, energy and any spare cash we had into an idea that I believed would increase our stability and give us access to more affluent, international markets.
"I cannot believe how far we have come in such a short time and it’s wonderful to be recognized for my risk taking and hard work”
She bagged the award based on her success with Talented, BIDBI's sister-brand that launched in 2012, and is going from strength to strength. It's always brilliant to be recognised for our hard work, so we'd like to congratulate Julia on bringing home another award for our shelf!Tweet
