This week's guest blog comes from Ian - our Warehouse Operator. Here's what he had to say about his recent work at BIDBI...

I joined BIDBI in August 2013, having previously worked for a number of large multi-national logistics companies. I have over 20 years experience in warehousing and distribution, so it was good to join BIDBI at a time when the warehouse was undergoing refurbishment.

Since then, I've worked hard to get the warehouse and finishing room completed. It's now been fully up and running for a couple of months, and is capable of holding over 200,000 blank bags, ready to print here at our eco-factory.

I'm also in charge of all the stock, so I'm pleased to now have a top of the range forklift to shift everything around quickly and easily. Here's a shot of me in action:

Recently I've spent a lot of my time packing and finishing orders for BIDBI's sister brand, Talented Totes. We've got a great finishing area set up, with all the swing tickets, barcodes, badges, and order instructions to hand. We're currently in the process of getting all of the collections (old, new and in situ) ready for forthcoming orders.

I'm a pretty chilled out person, so when I'm not at work I like to fish and spend time with my family. I've also gained a reputation for my storytelling in the BIDBI canteen during lunch hour...apparently I scare the sales team with hilarious stories of my past. They don't find them so funny though...no idea why!
