I have been an account manager at BIDBI for just over three months so far, so it seems like a good time for me to contribute to the BIDBI Bee!

The last few months have been a whirlwind of training and taking our own range of Talented Totes to trade fairs across the country, and so far no two weeks have been the same. I attended both the Spring Fair at the NEC and the ACE Trade Show at the Think Tank Science Museum in Birmingham, and it was fantastic to be able to meet up with our customers both old and new. ACE had such a fantastic venue in the Science Museum and I think we all learnt a lot from the various exhibitions we were surrounded by.

Back in the office, I deal with a wide range of customers from universities to independent boutiques to designers. I love the process of taking an idea all the way through to a finished product and have been lucky enough to work on some great bag projects already! I’ve even tried my hand at printing, although I think I’ll be leaving it to the professionals in future – so far I have more enthusiasm than skill.

The coming months will be filled with new projects and exciting opportunities for both BIDBI and our Talented Totes. As our own designs go global I have been able to work with a huge range of companies from all over the world. I’m swiftly losing whatever was left of my Northern accent, much to my disappointment.

So that’s me! You can follow me on twitter @kathrynbriggs7 for more updates on how life at BIDBI is going.

P.S. Check out my friend Fleur Yearsley’s designs on our sister company Doodle-Bag’s website!
